June 11, 2012 Livestock Market Report: Special Sale

Union Commission Co Inc. sold a total of 565 head of livestock (525 cattle, 35 sheep and goats and 5 horses) on June 11, 2012.

Livestock prices held steady at this week’s Special Stocker-Feeder Sale with Feeder and stocker steers maxing out at over $2.06 per pound. Feeder heifers reached as high as $1.91 a pound. Slaughter Cows and bulls held strong at $0.89 and $1.03 per pound respectively. Cow and calf pairs were up this week at $1910 per pair and Stocker Cows priced as higher at $1520 per head.
