August 10, 2020 Special Livestock Sale

Union Commission Co. at Hondo Livestock Auction hosted their Special Stocker Feeder Sale on August 10, 2020. Recognition was given to the top steers and heifers at the sale. A special thank you to all of the participants. To view the week update visit our Market Reports Page.

• 1st Place Steers Sold by Ray Harbison of D’Hanis, Texas. There were a total of 5 head of steers averaging 678 pounds. The average price per pound was $1.31 for a total average selling price of $888.18 and were sold to Nortex Feeders of Dalhart.
• 2nd Place Steers Sold by Bob Bendele of Devine, Texas. There were a total of 6 head of steers averaging  678  pounds. The average price per pound was $1.32  for an average total selling price of $887.70 and were sold to Nortex Feeders.
• 1st Place Heifers Sold by Clay Heyen of Hondo, Texas. There were a total of 6 head of heifers averaging  603 pounds. The average price per pound was $1.24 for an average total selling price of $747.72 and were sold to Gilliam Ranch.
• 2nd Place Heifers Sold by Frank Kauffman  of Castroville, Texas. There were a total of 5 head of heifers averaging 649 pounds. The average price per pound was $1.27 for a total average selling price of $824.23 and were sold to Gilliam Ranch.
