October 12, 2020 Special Livestock Sale

Union Commission Co. at Hondo Livestock Auction hosted their Special Stocker Feeder Sale on October 12, 2020. Recognition was given to the top steers and heifers at the sale. A special thank you to all of the participants. To view the week update visit our Market Reports Page.

• 1st Place Steers Sold by Petty Ranch of Medina, Texas. There were a total of 8 head of steers averaging 659 pounds. The average price per pound was $1.18 for a total average selling price of $777 and were sold to Nortex of Dalhart, TX
• 1st Place Heifers Sold by George Alexander of Devine, Texas. There were a total of 13 head of heifers averaging 565 pounds. The average price per pound was $118 for an average total selling price of $665 and were sold to Gilliam Ranch of Hondo, TX
• 2nd Place Steers Sold by Olin Gilliam of Hondo, Texas. There were a total of 10 head of steers averaging 704 pounds. The average price per pound was $1.19for an average total selling price of $837 and were sold to Nortex Feeders.
•  2nd Place Heifers Sold by Bob Bendele of Devine, Texas. There were a total of 5 head of heifers averaging 573 pounds. The average price per pound was $1.22 for a total average selling price of $699 and were sold to Moore Livestock of Pearsall, TX.
